A recent article in CondeNast showed poor understanding of tourism in Greenland in suggesting that flights from Keflavik will improve travel to Greenland. The travel recommendation for this region is a combination of Iceland and Greenland. When travelling to Iceland you arrive in Keflavik, then take a bus for staying in Reykjavik, taking tours out of Reykjavik to the sights of Southern Iceland. When your next destination is East Greenland ,you take 10 min bus/taxi ride from your hotel to the domestic airport. Now that is easy! But if the departure was from KEF, You have to take a 45 min bus ride, then check in at the airport and do a long hike after passport control and security to get to the often distant gate .
Going to East Greenland is easy!
